Introduction
Some time ago, my business partner and I made a significant decision: we closed our very successful project for game audio, “Sound of Games.” In this article, I would like to outline the reasons for this step and explain the new path I am now embarking on.
Farewell to “Sound of Games”
“Sound of Games” has always been a pioneer in the industry, known for innovative developments and creative approaches to game music and sound effects. We were the first to record a real orchestra for a mobile game, we held the world record for the most music in a mobile game, and the games featuring our music consistently ranked in the top 200 throughout the company’s history. However, in recent years, the landscape has changed dramatically. The rapid advancement of AI has prompted us to reconsider our strategy.
The Role of Artificial Intelligence
It has become increasingly clear that AI is capable of taking over many tasks traditionally handled by composers. This realization led to the consideration that individual artists with a strong brand may be more sought after in the future than companies offering artistic services. This shift in the industry has inspired us to take a bold step.
The Right Time for a Fresh Start
Since we at “Sound of Games” have always focused on planning for the future, we concluded that now was the right time to end the project and pursue new paths. It was a decision that required both courage and foresight, but I am convinced that it was necessary to expand our creative space.
My New Path
Now that I have left “Sound of Games,” I continue my journey as a composer and SFX expert in the gaming industry. But that’s not all! I have significantly expanded my portfolio and focused on pursuing projects that reflect my passions.
Art and Music Projects without Commercial Pressure
In this new phase of my work, I aim to release my own art and music projects without the pressure of commercial success. This freedom allows me to experiment creatively and realize my visions in ways I had not previously thought possible. Initial results of this work include the NFT “Smackman Coin” and the cross-genre project “bachvolution.”
Conclusion
The decision to close “Sound of Games” was not easy, but it was necessary. I look forward to exploring the upcoming challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. The journey as an individual artist has just begun, and I can’t wait to tread these new creative paths. Stay tuned for more updates on my projects and developments!
